Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Short version: your fitness data stays on your phone. Naija Fit has no accounts and no database of users, and we can't see your workouts, meals, steps, weight or photos.

What is stored, and where

What leaves your device

Motion sensor (step counter)

When you tap Start Tracking, your browser may ask for motion access. Motion readings are processed on your phone to count steps and are never sent anywhere. You can turn this off at any time by tapping Pause or removing the permission in your phone settings.

Backups and moving phones

There is no automatic sync. Download backup (in Profile) saves a file to your phone that you control. Restoring it replaces the data on that device. Keep backup files private; they contain your fitness data.

Deleting your data

Use Profile → Reset All Data, clear this site's data in your browser settings, or uninstall the app. Because we don't hold a copy, deleted data can't be recovered unless you kept a backup.

Children

Naija Fit is meant for people aged 13 and over. Under-18s should use it with a parent or guardian's guidance.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have rights over your personal data. Since your data stays on your device, you control it directly. For any privacy question, contact us below.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
